Skin tags are called as skin growths which are benign (non-cancerous) and appear in a group or cluster. It appears like a hanging skin like narrow stalk on the surface of the skin. ·        Hormones factorsiIn Acromegaly (gigantism)
·        Human papilloma virus (the virus that crates warts)

People who are overweight and suffering from the obesity are prone to develop this disorder very easily. Further, it has been seen that women with larger breasts are also prone to developing the tags under the folding parts of their breasts.

Treatment for skin tags are not needed, as the tags are extra growth of the skin and don’t contain any cancerous properties. It has been seen that most of the tags go away spontaneously by rubbing of the skin against cloth and   do not need any surgical treatment. If the growths are painless and harmless, you may decide not to remove it by surgical methods. It is wise to treat it with useful home remedies like tying off the narrow stalk at the base with a string.
